As the seasons change, you uplift your style accordingly! Beauty is no different. When the rainy season arrives, we take a different path in changing our skin care regime. Similarly, we need to update our beauty products as well. Of course, we will not change them altogether; but a minor modification is necessary so that you stay comfortable throughout the season. If you do not modify your beauty products, you are making one big beauty mistake.
Here we take a look at certain beauty kit essentials that you need to revamp for the monsoon.
Your Beauty Kit Essentials for the Weather – Monsoon Special
You must replace your foundation with a compact completely. Anything that leaves your skin greasy should be avoided. In no time the foundation becomes blotchy and obviously we do not want to walk around with that excess oil on our face which would make us look dull. So, keep that foundation out for the season and make room for the compact powder.
The sun is just hidden by the clouds during the monsoon, but there is nothing that the clouds can possibly do about the UV A and B radiation. Your skin can still be affected by the sun the same way it was getting affected during the summer. Also, using sunscreen regularly is the best way to slow down aging. So be wise and keep your sunscreen close.
This is the first thing you should be bothered about when it comes to makeup during monsoon. A primer acts as a base for your makeup since it acts as a shield against water and sun. It helps you get that perfect smudge free look in this weather. So do not walk out without one.
Replace your eye liner with eye pencils. I agree that an eye pencil might not have the precision of a liner, but the last thing any of us would want is the rain water washing away the liner after the efforts that were taken to put them so perfectly.
If eyeliner is something you cannot stay without, then opt for a waterproof liner. Go for the blue color rather than the black one. You should always keep tweezers along. If you strongly feel about your waterproof liner, do not forget to apply enough moisturizer to hydrate your skin. Water proof liner contain high chemical content and you need to be protective about your skin.
Mascara completes your make up. But you wouldn’t want it to flow down your cheeks making you look like a disaster. Trade your regular mascara with a waterproof one. Always apply some voluminous mascara before applying waterproof mascara in order to minimize the damage that might be caused to your lashes due to the chemical contents present inside.
Matte is the best option for monsoon. You need to avoid lip gloss completely as it would get sticky and might even smudge very easily once your lips get wet. Stick with dark colors this season as they make you look one shade lighter than your actual complexion; also dark colors stay longer.
Keep your eye shadow colors light this season. Use subtle colors. Always use powdered eye shadows instead of the one with cream. This will keep your eye shadow from melting off your face.
The trick here is to use as less blush as you possibly can. Keep it subtle by using pastel colors. Always use cream based blushers instead of powder based or any other kind in monsoon. The key is to blend with the skin when it comes to blushers; so, dab it on your face even if you get wet rather than rubbing it all over your face.
Have a glamorous monsoon!
