It is that time of the year when we have so much going on and we are determined to plan our much awaited long vacation to escape the heat. Yes, summer has arrived and has brought a lot of tit-bit along. After all, warm weather is meant for being adventurous, especially after inevitably falling victim to a winter-induced hair rut. Summer is THE technical new beginning of the seasons every year.
Summer is the season specifically meant for you to experiment with your look, be it the choice of clothing or makeup or your hair. You must experiment as much as you can during this time of the year. So, here we are daring you to break out of your routine with these celebrity-and street-style-star-approved summer hairstyle trends.
Braids are everywhere right now. There is nothing worse than fussing over a difficult look when the temperature is rising. There are a variety of them for you to pick your favorite one. The best thing about braids is that it doesn’t require the heating tools such as the blow dryer or curler.
This is my personal favorite hairstyle for almost the complete year. It is simple yet stylish. All you have to do is tie off your plaits with a thin elastic that matches your outfit to add the glam quotient. That way the attentions stays on the style, not on the tied band. Always, allow a single tendril to slip out on the opposite side of the braid.
Twisting and braiding portions of the hair rather than the whole mass is a quick alternative to painstaking styles. This look is cute and easy both at the same time. All you have to do is part your hair low and on the side before securing it right below your opposite ear. If you are the one with curls, then break up tight coils with a natural-bristle brush creating an instant lush volume. Since, your hair is tamed and gathered in a ponytail, it won’t look out of control.
Be careful while you tie your hair in the pony, do not pull too tight. Braid loosely and secure with an elastic.
- Follow the natural line of your cheekbone when pulling your hair back
- When in doubt, aim higher
- Tilt your head back as you gather, that leaves the hair at the nape tight and clean
On either side of your head, roll back the strands along your hairline, adding more hair as you work your way backwards, just like you do with a French braid. Secure it with pins and wrap a bun in the most exotic way.
Whether you have long, cropped or curly hair, side swept play an important role in your image formation, since it can model not only your hairstyle, but your face shape and look in the whole. With all their versatility side swept hairstyle is very popular today.
HALF UP HAIRDO
A strict and smooth center part is the key to this retro-inspired look. Pull hair back on either side of the head, making sure the ears stay covered, before securing with criss-crossed bobby pins on the back of the head. For the Indian touch, you can leave them behind the ears.
DOUBLE BUN TREND
Bored of the regular ponytails? Try experimenting. Double bun is trending and you must try it out. These are two ways you can flaunt them, take your pick and go ahead. Add one to a ballerina bun, or go the street-style route and spring for two-cuffs and buns that is.
Bangs are the cutest. However, sometimes these cute bangs fall victim to forehead sweat-and the results are never pretty. Try changing the cycle by flipping back your bouncy, blown-out bangs and clipping them right behind your hairline with small bobby pins. You will get a huge shot of volume with a very little effort.
