Skincare tips for this winter x Juicy Chemistry

    popxo best beauty hacks

Winter apparently tends to be one of the favorite and fun seasons for majority of us. However, it is not so much fun when it comes to our skin due to cold weather and low humidity. Dry skin is the primary result of the dry air that steals away the moisture from the skin. This might get worse with further cracking and bleeding if not being taken care of immediately.

Different skin types react differently to this weather. However, drying, peeling off and extra sensitive skin are the general signs of skin tantrums of the season. Here are some skincare tips to tackle these skin problems for winter season.

    Use Lukewarm Water

Who doesn’t like a hot shower in this cold weather? It is advisable that you choose to use lukewarm water specially while washing your face. This helps you avoid the stripping of oil from the skin.

    Moisturize immediately

Most of us are aware of the benefits of moisturizing your skin in winter. What most of us don’t realize is that it has to be done immediately after you wash your face or hands. Applying moisture to damp skin helps seal that dampness into the skin. Try keeping a bottle at every sink for your convenient usage.

    Drink water

Drinking water is one of the most important habits that we are recommended to follow throughout the year for a healthy skin. In winters, we tend to consume less water as we turn to hot drinks. Always remember that hydrating your body is very important even you don’t feel thirsty.

Uphold the right overnight skincare regime

Dryer areas of your body like hands, elbows, knees and feet are considered to have thin skin and tend to lose moisture faster than other areas. Be sure to moisturize these areas and seal them by wearing socks and gloves overnight.

    Hydrate from the Inside

It is always better to hydrate your body from the inside by consuming the food items that are high in water content. Watermelon, apples, oranges, kiwi and veggies like cucumbers, carrots and zucchini are among the healthiest eatables for hydrating your body. Consume flax-seeds to give your skin the building blocks it requires.

    Pick the right skincare products

It is very important to choose the right skincare products for winters as the seasonal change calls for altered product necessities. For instance, an oil-based moisturizer will serve you best in this cold weather as the oil content forms a protective layer on your skin. Remember to pick a moisturizer that contains ‘facial-skin friendly’ oils such as avocado oil or almond oil. Also, be sure to be regular with your night cream.

Shield your skin from the sun

The sun may be hiding in winters, but it definitely manages to peep through the clouds letting the UVA and UVB rays to harm your skin.  Hence, always step out with a sunscreen on irrespective of the season.

    JUICY CHEMISTRY

winter skincare juicy chemistryWho knew a simple lotion to nourish the skin contained a whole slew of unpronounceable chemicals, a product claiming natural, had barely any natural ingredients or that yummy smelling shower gel had carcinogenic ingredients? A random trip to the mall turned out to be a complete eye-opener!

Juicy Chemistry was co-founded by Pritesh & Megha Asher in 2014, with a goal to provide effective skin care products formulated with the purest and the most nutrient rich ingredients the nature has to offer.
